About

About Phoenix Caribbean: a regional studio, based in Tortola.

For two decades we've helped Caribbean businesses market, build and secure themselves. Today we also help them adopt AI — carefully, and for real business value.

Our story

From marketing to modern.

Phoenix Caribbean started with a simple idea: Caribbean businesses deserve marketing partners who understand the region — its islands, its audiences, its rhythms and its constraints.

Over the years, our clients' needs evolved. Websites became critical. Search became a battlefield, and now AI assistants answer questions that used to start on Google. Cyber threats stopped being someone else's problem. And AI is quietly changing how the best businesses operate.

We evolved with them. Today, Phoenix Caribbean brings seven services — web build and management, SEO & GEO, digital marketing, marketing consultancy, cyber security and AI consultancy — under one calm, senior team.

Guy Phoenix leads Phoenix Caribbean and the wider Fresh Mango group, directing teams of specialists across IT, cyber security, website design, SEO and digital marketing in the Caribbean, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Guy Phoenix is Managing Director of Phoenix Caribbean and of Fresh Mango Technologies, the group's IT and cyber security practices in the British Virgin Islands and the United Kingdom. He divides his time between the UK, the Caribbean and the United States, leading teams of specialists in IT support, cyber security, website design, search optimisation and digital marketing.

His working principle is simple and long-standing: help companies operate smoothly, securely and sublimely — comprehensive IT support, serious cyber security capability, and websites and marketing that actually earn their keep. That combination is unusual in the region, and it is why Phoenix Caribbean clients get infrastructure-grade thinking behind what looks like a marketing engagement.

Guy has worked in and with the British Virgin Islands for many years, including through the rebuilding that followed Hurricane Irma in 2017 — an experience that shapes the group's emphasis on off-island hosting, tested backups and continuity planning for Caribbean businesses.

Frequently asked

About Phoenix Caribbean.

Where is Phoenix Caribbean based?

Phoenix Caribbean's head office is in Road Town, Tortola, British Virgin Islands, at PMB#271, PO Box 3099, Road Town, Tortola VG1110. We work remotely with clients throughout the English-speaking Caribbean.

How long has Phoenix Caribbean been operating?

We have worked with Caribbean businesses for two decades, since 2005 — first in marketing, then websites and SEO, and today also cyber security and AI.

Who will actually do my work?

Senior practitioners. Phoenix Caribbean deliberately runs a small, experienced team rather than a large junior one, so the person who scopes your project is involved in delivering it.

Who does Phoenix Caribbean work with?

Hoteliers and villa operators, marine and charter businesses, banks and financial services firms, retailers, professional services practices, NGOs and government bodies across the region.

Why should I choose a Caribbean-based agency over an overseas one?

Because context changes the work. A Caribbean-based studio understands tourist seasonality and shoulder seasons, how customers on each island actually search, the mobile network conditions your pages load on, hurricane-season continuity planning, and the reality of selling across many small markets rather than one large one. We also work in your time zone and reply within one Caribbean working day. Phoenix Caribbean has done this since 2005, so recommendations come from having watched what works in the region for two decades rather than from a template built for a different market.

What makes Phoenix Caribbean qualified in cyber security and AI as well as marketing?

Our team's background spans web engineering, search, marketing leadership, information security and applied AI, and we work alongside sister practices specialising in cyber security and secure cloud backup. That combination matters more than it used to: a modern website is also an attack surface, a marketing stack is also a data-protection question, and AI now touches both content and operations. We scope only what we can genuinely deliver and bring in specialist partners for live incident response or forensics rather than overstating our own capability.

What are the benefits of working with a small senior team?

Continuity and judgement. The person who scopes your project is involved in delivering it, so context is never lost in a handover, and decisions are made by people who have solved the same problem before. Small teams also say no more often — we will recommend a cheaper option, a different supplier, or no project at all when that is the honest answer. The trade-off is capacity: we take on fewer clients at once, so timelines are agreed carefully rather than optimistically.
